    Re: Financing a S4

I suggest you keep looking, or look harder. That's one expensive S4. You can get an S4 with under 50K miles for mid 20's and lower.

    For example:

    Nogaro Blue S4

    Silver S4

    Dolphin Grey S4

And I didn't even put any effort into looking

    So $11,400 ($10,000 + $1,400 NJ sales tax) financed @ 7.0% would be:

    3 year - $ 352.00 per month

    4 year - $ 272.99 per month

    5 year - $ 225.73 per month

    Re: Financing a S4

So would you say if I bought a 04 S4 with 42000 miles for around 27500+TT=30,000 with a 2 year COP which starts up at the end of this month, that I got a bad deal. Bought it from a dealer and they insisted its a steal...had a car salesman friend sit in with me and the best we could negotiate was 500 less. Their other S4's with slightly lower miles is in the 30+ range.

I paid a little more than that for an 05 CPO w/ 47K on it ... really nice shape though. I'm content with the price paid.

Mann...down payment was 4500. Monthly payments of 485.99...99 lol...at 5.4 percent financing at 60 months. I'm paying nearly 3800 in interest. And if i refinance i gotta anytime soon my payments would be for nothing! :( I sometimes have note payers remorse...then i got sit in the car...and turn it on...it all goes away...till the next car note come along. HA!

I paid over $30K for one with about that mileage, of course that was a year ago. Of course, finding a nice, well cared for Avant - 6-speed in my first choice of interior and exterior color was not an easy task. this one fell into my lap and I paid a couple grand more than what some other similar cars were going for that were less desireable to me. so worth it to me. Still was cheaper than the E39 M5 I almost bought.

And I financed almost the whole thing, so my payments are quite large. I was also comparing to some lease deals and this is similar overall cost, so why not get what I would rather drive. I probably should have leased a newer one, but again - finding a wagon with a stick is not very easy. And I am extra screwed because interest rates were quite a bit higher back then - I think my rate is 7.25% or something. Where I could easily snag a 6% rate now. I may refi it, but debateable if worth it 1 year in - I would have to do the math to figure that out.

I paid 32k for my 2005 2 years ago, to the month, with 14k on the clock. You guys are paying too much as the market is softer now than it was back then. You gotta go in there and hardball these salesmen. don't believe a word they say as they lie constantly.

I got an 04 s4 with 27k miles on it for$29. Had cpo and all that. Got 2.9% financing from Audi and zero down. Pay $595 a month. I have seen much cheaper but this particular one was in immaculate condition and low mileage so I paid.

I paid $32k for my CPO car with 32k on the clock. I know that was kinda high, but I got a very rare color and the interior I wanted. I got 4.9% rate on the loan, and the car is a keeper, so I don't mind. I plan on having this car 7-10 years down the road.

In the end, life is short and money is just paper. I got what I wanted.

a good rule of thumb is that if you can't afford 3yr financing, you can't afford the car.

    Re: Financing a S4

I financed the whole thing because I totaled my old A4 and used my "down payment" to pay off my outstanding loan that the insurance didn't cover. I bought the S from the dealer for about $37,000 out the door. Went with a 4 year loan at 3.9%. Monthly payments are a little over $800.

If you're buying CPO, you can get short term financing at 1.9% through Audi. Put the $10k to work and payoff the car early...
