Squealing noise @ 3k RPM?

About a week ago I started noticing a high pitched noise whenever I was between 2700 and 3100 rpms. I can't figure out exactly where its coming from, but it seems to be near the front of the engine. I've had someone rev it for me while watching the belts and everything and it doesn't look like anything's slipping, but then again I imagine it would be hard to catch since its all spinning so fast. I've searched and read about others problems like secondary air stuff, but it looks like those problems were even at idle. If I'm cruising under 2700 rpm or over 3200, it purrs like a kitten with no extraneous noises.

Thats when you start boosting, so i would say it has something to do with a turbo... But prolly just a DV, or a boost leak (less likely).
