Looking into some for my Passat but am iffy on 20's with a 235/30/20 plus I am laid out on some coilovers. I really want MRR HR-3's which only come in 20" now. Just want to see what they look like on a B6 Audi, I found this pic of 20's in the wheel I want but want some stories of experience on 20's with not so great roads.

My experience with 19's on not so great roads wasn't the best, but it was doable on a good suspension. Just don't bust a wheel.

I have 20's 245/30/30 on my stock sport suspension for about 2-3 yrs now. I dont have any hangups on them except that the tires wear so quickly but I drive like a wild man.

I'd hate to miss a chance to whore this thing. Before I start this thread honestly should only be commented on by those who actually have 20" wheels or drove an A4 with 20's, like myself .

I live in Jersey and drive in both Jersey and Philly everyday, lowered on Koni coils and I no problems. I was rubbing in the front a little, but rolling the fenders fixed that. The ride is no harsher than 19" rims honestly. Now onto the pics, 20x8.5 and 20x9.5 iForged Monaco

Gorgeous car what size tires you running? I have ran 35 series tires a lot and never bent a wheel or blown a tire so I don't think a 235/30/20 would be THAT bad as long as I watch for large holes.

I might try out a 240/30/20 and see if it fits in front lowered as far as I am. I am about as low as the silver A4 above.

I run 245/30 all around. I wouldn't suggest 235/30 or anything smaller on a 9.5" rim, it's going to be massive stretch and if you are driving on bad roads it will not be a very forgiving ride. The sidewalls are thin to begin with and stretching that is beyond pushing the limits. However, I would run a 235/30 tire on a 8.5" rim but good luck finding one. I know Falken makes it, but no one could get it for me

Ugh, 19s is definitely the sweet spot for the B6. 18s look great, 19s are amazing, 20s, eh, not so much.............

I am thinking either VMR RS4 Reps in 19x8.5" or Staggered BBS LM Reps in 19".

i don't mind 20's as long as you have the kit and suspension to pull it off. it can look good, but if i were to do 20's, i'd do something with a step lip to minimize the look of "too much wheel". the HR3's look like 20's in 19" size, but with 20's almost look too big...

Sorry guys, for those of you that posted pics; your cars look sick but I am sticking with my opinion that 20's are just a bit too big for our wheel wells. but hey, to each their own.

dude you put 20" wheels onto a non-lowered stock sport suspension? show me a pic to dispute this, but your car must look like a 4x4 from hell!

and also i think the original pic of the silver B6 looks pretty sick...i don't normally like that look, but the MRR's (or whatever they're called) look sick IMO.

Well I did find a place that sells HR3's in 19" called Wagen Wheels in TX but he only has them made in 19x8 +45 offset which is way too high for a B5.5 Passat. I ended up jumping on the Bandwagon and ordering 19x8.5" et38 VMR708 RS4 Reps in silver. Should look good as a OEM + look I think.

I thought you had 245/30 like the rest of us. are you on a 8.5" or 9.5" rim in the rear. If it's 9.5" then I want to see what the stretch looks like, it must be CRAZY

One more thing, what brand tire do you have, I wanted to get them for my fronts but I ended up just getting the fenders rolled.
