Re: Beating a dead horse with LED'S

There have been several threads covering this, and some seem to be able to run both city lights and licensplate lights with LED without bulbout and flickering.
You just have to try. They use the 9LED festoons from autolumination. I have tried 4 different festoons on the licenseplate and they all flicker. I have a 2005.5 with the red dis......So you just have to try.
    Good luck

Give it a try, and please let me know! I have the same doubt, and I decided to order some leds from autolumination.com all the way to Mexico, but never recieved them and the also never answered my emails.

    Bad experience with them.

Seriously though, try to at least use some punctuation. I makes YOU look more intelligent, and it makes it easier to read for the rest of us. As for the lights, you can only try.

If you have a color DIS, then they won't work! If you have just a red DIS, then it may work!

DIS = screen in the gauge cluster!

I've posted this in numerous threads, but people just ignore what I type....

Re: Beating a dead horse with LED'S

So I got the LED lights finally....and man do they flicker. There's no light out warning however and they do look good. Thing is though that your really gonna have to shove the bulb into the yellow city light socket and once you push it in, good luck trying to get it out. Like someone said the fit is snug but impossible to pull back out considering that massive thing is all the way in and you can't really pull on the thin wedge part that easily. The way I got them out was by letting them fall in the halogen housing, use a bendy straw with a magnet taped to the end, rest the bulb in the "bucket' and then use a pair of chop sticks to get that little ****er out. Not to mention I dropped a bendy straw in my engine bay

Re: Beating a dead horse with LED'S

I changed my plate bulbs and they flicker then go out and i get a bulb out warning. I ordered a resistor and hopefully that should solve all my problems. they do look good for the first flickers. so i hope this all works. btw i have an 06 with the color DIS!
    The usual things!!
