    water/meth injection?

ive been reading up on these kits and i think i want to add one to my car in the near future. only thing is i dont have any clue about them really. are they perfectly safe? what i mean is, if youre running 300whp on stock internals and then you add water/meth ontop of that, is there any chance youll blow your engine? also where do i get one of these kits? and how much are they? difficult to install? thanks!

    Re: water/meth injection?

Just adding water/meth WILL NOT increase your HP. The results of adding w/m ALLOW you to make more power by tuning the car up (boost and timing) as if you were running a higher octane. Adding w/m to a currently safe tune without any changes will make the car even safer as it will drop IAT's, EGT's, and CF's

Most common on AZ is the Snow stage 2 kit

There are a variety of them available including Devils Own and Aquamist also fairly popular except you will pay $200+ for either over what the Snow kit is

yea i know i would have to tune it. so what youre saying is that if i add a w/m kit then i will beable to safely raise boost/timing a little bit?

Safely regarding tuning, sure. Safely for the motor is a different story. A motors going to blow when its going to blow whether running meth or not

No it wont, CF's dont hinder power as long as they are manageable. Timing does not change if the typical 5-6 CF's are present, only when you near or exceed the detonation point will the ECU pull timing

    Thats a questionable statement.
