    hood pins for boser hood??

    should i get LOCKED pins or REGULAR?? i live in weird area plus i'll be driving my car to campus. I bought boser hood and just waiting on shipping, should i get lockable hood pins, regular hood pins, or just stock set up? i guess im just paranoid that somebody will stick something in lockable pins(wood stick or w/e) and i wont be able to open it

    I got the non-locking aero catch pins, I just need to install them.. the sparcos look like crap. You will still have the normal latch so your hood will be secure.

    yeah im getting aerocatch from eurogear, same place where i got my hood. sparcos look ricey and cheap anyways. So PONDSIDE36 you are not afraid that somebody gonna open your hood while you are not watching?

    The stock hood latch is still functional on my hood, so no not worried at all.

    The hood pins are just for the piece of mind incase the stock hood latch seperates from the hood. Since the stock hood latch is only attached to a few layers it isn't as strong. The hood pins go through the entire hood and hold it down from the outside giving you best hold. You will notice once intalled that the CF hood flexes when driving at high speeds and be glad you have the pins to keep it from flying up and damaging you car, causing an accident, or hurting your self. You don't have to put the stock latch on but if you want to be able to lock and set the alarm you would have to rig the hood latch switch to show closed or you will have no alarm and the hood open alarm on your dach display. I hope that makes sense..

    thanks, i didnt know about alarm sensors there. i guess i'll be getting non-locking pins.

    ive had 2 hoods fly up on me

    and i still wouldnt get hood pins they look ugly....

    but keep in mind this was at about 140 in my buddies m3! haha
