Audio Upgrade questions

So I think I am going to move onto the Audio part of my car. Some information..
I have the Symphony HU
Non-Bose
Already have upgraded front speakers.
Not looking for a sub, but would like speakers that can add some bass in my life.
Suggestions??!

I'd say get a line out for the radio and use an amp to drive a set of 4 speakers, or get a 5 channel amp to run 4 speakers and one sub, thats what I did

Did it increase the sound/bass alot? Any more info on this?

I built a box, got a nice 500w jl amp and have completely reworked my system.

I'm using 2 12" woofers since my amp was to powerful for one (kept damaging it)
Also, i've replaced all the speakers and am running 6 speakers now with a seperate amp for the mids/highs.

Chris, look into the aftermarket rear deck speakers, I think there is a write-up on audiworld that has the brandname and where to get them. They are plug and play and they add mucho bass and sound!

But if you ever have an itch for more bass I have a JL 18W3-D4 and a Memphis 1000d laying around...

Yeah it says for Bose, but you have the small speakers/subs on the deck lid right?

i have the non-bose. So only 2 speakers on the rear deck.

Alright then they should work because the Bose only has 2 on the deck aswell. I guess if I go to the meet tonight I'll look.

I recommend ordering up the rear grills and installing some rear door speakers as well.
Really helped my a4's sound quality.
It's pretty easy let me know if you have any questions.

Memphis is crystal clear and deep. I'm yet to build my A4's stereo, just a Kicker sub. Component system in your front doors are worth the money too.

I dont have rear door speakers bc I am non-bose. I have started to consider a 10-12" size although it might cost ALOT more and take up needed trunk space. I was reading up on rear speaker replacement and it sounded difficult because of re-wiring the speakers to the factory amp or something (didnt know I had a amp for the rear speakers?)

if you build a custom box it doesnt take up too much trunk space, i have infinities in the fornt doors on a stock bose HU a zapco amp powering 2 12s in the trunk.
crappy pics but you get the idea. the box is covered in cherry laminate now.

I def dont have enough room for that much. Do you have upgraded rears?

its not as big as it looks. i can still fold the seats down and get long/big things in and i still have like 1.5-2 feet behind the box. the speakers in the deck were removed stock rear door speakers.

I do have a bike rack already, but its sooo mcuh easier just the put the bike in the trunk/back seats folded down. Im always paranoid whenever I have the rack on with wind coming. I guess I need to look at some more options and see what is really best for me as well as what is within my budget just to get that "extra" bass.
