This car has made me become OBSESSED with modifying cars, and german cars in general.

know exactly what you guys are talking about....whenever i park my car i always look back at it atleast twice, every excuse that i can find to jump in it and drive i do it....at the mall always take up two parking spots to make sure that no one parks next to it and scratch it, and the one my wife hates is whenever we go out to eat to a restaurant i always have to get a table in by a window where i can see my car while i am having my dinner....lol

My car is my "first love". I can't get enough of driving her or staring at her. I'm so obsessed with b5's that once my car is out of sight, I look for other B5's, see them more often at sac state, and if no B5's around, it goes to other audi's.

The other night i parked my car, started walking down the path to my house, turned my head to admire what a fine looking machine it was. Apparently i admired for too long and failed to realize there was a bear about 12 feet away. I love my car so much it almost got me mauled. So yeah, i also love my b5.

One typical thing that I do, if you go to a restaurant for example, and you park a some distance from there. When you see a spot being clreared near the restaurant, you run back to get your car, so you can see it while you're in there

I would say i look back at least 2 times when i park the car, and when i go out for a smoke break, i make sure i go to the side of the building where my car is parked and just stand there and stare at it.

I thought i was the only one too, i do that shit all the time, everytime i park it i got to look back at it at least once, ill walk throught certain rooms in the house to see it parked outside, and ill always jump on the chance to drive it somewhere, its hard not to stare at it, they just look so good.

I also look back like 2x and stare at it like 5x a day since my job allows me to not be stuck to my chair and I can see it from most of the shop.

I go out to the garage just to check it out all the time. I just stare at it and look at the reflection of things in the paint. I also like to dust it with a soft flannel cloth every night. I know this is overkill but i wash it at least once a week and also wax it once a week on average. Behind my driver's seat there is always a kit with microfiber towels, glass cleaner, a toothbrush, spray detailer, wax, and all the rest of my car cleaning shit.

That's mostly because everyone makes their car uniquely theirs. I really like my car and do about all the things mentioned above from time to time; maybe all the time but I don't notice it?!

The thing is, when it starts having issues, its the first thing I hate the most and throw a fit at. Then we make up and its as good as ever. It's something we use and see everyday so we get attached plus this damn website makes it even more addicting.

Hah, I had a project like that too. A 91 RX7 13B non-turbo and sold it to have more morey towards the B5. Im impressed that I don't drool over other types of cars like I did then I had my Mazda 626 and RX7. Only cars that i'm really impressed by is cars at Waterfest and other cars like the 135, 335, EVO and exotics.

Nice mine was originally n/a too but it was fully converted. Sold it for $4900 and got the B5 for $4600 that same night haha. It was kinda a rushed decision to sell the RX-7... never advertised it and had a buyer in one weekend. Even so I never regret it while im driving the Audi.

this has become quite a thread....it like a lil AAA meeting for our addictions to our cars...i just came from the garage and my wife walked in while i was talking to my car....she just looked at me and told me that i should get help....lol...i have been in love with A4's ever since they came out just never had one...i have had alot of cars over my 30 years, and loved every single one of them...and the only car that has taken my heart back since i sold my 911 is my B5...and i fall in love with it every morning over and over again once i sit in it and crank her over....

I love my B5, its the oddball of the entire BMW family (bikes and cars) but I can't get away from it. Some of my friends think i'm crazy but f them, they don't know what we have...

I wouldn't say I love my B5 - I like her, but that's about it.

Problem is, if you love your car too much, you reveal a weakness to others, then they know how to get at you - think of the keying brigade and haters.

My take on things is, she's just a lump of metal on wheels, I like modding her, but if she got damaged, crashed, stolen etc, I'd just shrug it off, and move on.

Such is life.

lol you guys make me laugh but no matter the brand of cars german cars have something about them that drive there owners crazy and even crazier when modded :) I do the same with my bimmer even now that its almost done :)

i bought mine 11 years ago. i started modding it almost as soon as it hit my driveway. it lived outside for 2 years, then i bought a house. now it has a nice two bedroom garage that it shares with my jeep [she gets lonely at night] in the winter she sleeps in a warehouse on a lift with my dads cobra replica and the boat. i still have more plans for it and i cant ever imagine it will be "finished"
