Still a CP virgin on B7, had my CP cherry popped long ago with B6. I always carry 1 in my trunk anyway.

Mine went at like 32k, but I had washed the car a few days before so i'm not sure if that played a part.

The machines at the dealer swirl up the car, so while it stays over there no wash.

    Re: Coil Pack Failure

I'm not sure if this is what causes EVERY case, but mine failed the first day I bought my CPO. The dealer had detailed the car and the oil (or whatever dressing) they used to spiff up the look of my engine blew a set. From what it sounded like, this wasn't a first for their detailer.

Again, not sure what causes it in so many cars, but be careful when washing or detailing the engine bay.

I've heard people usually blowing them at around 30-40k. I just had my first one go out at 54,xxx. It also went out the day after I bought a trunk spare!

    Re: Coil Pack Failure

I might win for the quickest...

32 hours of ownership and less than 150 miles on the odo - had one fail. The faces on everyone at the dealership when the car was brought back on a flatbed were priceless
