Tuner Shops in Ottawa

Hey guys i'm looking to get my B6 1.8TQM chipped and was looking around for shops in ottawa...just wondering if anyone had a preference as to which shop I should go with.

i personally go to AA (advanced autowerkz) over on bently rd. there's also tapp auto down in kanata.... audi/vw specialists. quick google will get ur #s and adresses , if u cant .. get back at me ill search around for cards.. there's also an ottawa audi group.. umm i think its.. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/audiottawa/ i ask most of my local questions their... take care

Been dealing with both Advanced Autowerks and Tapp Auto for years. Both are great shops and frankly, each have their strengths. As far as chipping is concerned, If you are planning on getting one of the "big names" such as APR, REVO or GIAC then you'll have to go elsewhere. That said, if I were to do it over again, I would go to Tapp as I believe he has the edge in this area.

Sorry for the bump, but I went to Advanced Autowerks and feel obliged to leave a review...Spoke with Gord (owner) on thursday and told him I was looking to get a pre-purchase inspection done and he said he would be able to see me the next day and quoted me a great price over the phone! Picked up the car from the dealer friday afternoon, drove it to AA (surprised it was so small and the parking lot was packed) and gave the tech a list I had made of things I would like him to check out (battery, piston compression, internal electronics, check the body, drive it a little to check the brakes/clutch, etc). I was expecting this to take 2 hours and was fine paying $180 + tax for the labour but the tech (wish I remembered his name) finished everything in an hour and gave me a full report! Both of them were really friendly and explained things in plain english to me (the car checked 100% except for a cam follower issue which is a known issue for B7's). Charged me $110 taxes in, gave me the report, and we looked into replacement parts on ECS (they are an official dealer). Not much cheaper than the stealership but they do great work and won't make things up so look forward to doing business with them in the future as it may require .
