how much are you guys getting the "euro" '96 A4 trunk lids for?

Im picking one up today and have the option of getting 3 or 4 all for around $100 a pop...anyone else be interested in one?

Remember, the stock 96 colors are different then our later b5 colors. Even the silver and black will be different shades and obvious.
With that being said, I would like one, any color if you are willing to ship one.

just thought i would mention that the silver on the 96 a4s are different that the silver on the s4s. they would need to be painted to match perfectly. i was going to do this a few years back on my old a4 until i realized it would need paint.

u7 cant get them facelift from a junk yard or w/e in the states cause they only had them overseas, only the pre facelifts stayed in the us

Wait, thats not right. The facelift ones you can get at junkyards and such, the pre-facelift ones are a bitch to find. That black B5 with the Cali plate is the first time I have seen a pre-facelift euro trunk in the US.

the lids your talking about are all 96 n/a trunks. they have the large tag opening like in europe. they also have a "handle" that sticks out from the lid and contains the tag light. the facelift lids are only available in europe. like on the black car above they have a flat "handle" that is flush with the lid. i am getting a facelift lid shipped from germany. it was not cheap and the wait is long but the end result will be nice. as stated above it is rare to see a facelift lid in the us.

aright guys here's the deal...i have access to about 7 of the pre-facelift trunks,the ones without scratches are $150 and the ones with a few scratches (wont matter cuz they need to be painted anyway,are $100. I have a list of the first 7 people i heard from through this thread and PM,and i will get to all of you through PM.

Yes, i know they need paint,all the colors,black,silver,etc are all different..so anyone not wanting to paint,let me know if you dont want them anymore...

also, if you want i can have them painted with OEM paint for cheap. My friend owns a body shop and only charges me for paint. I'll talk to him and see what he can do for me/us.

p.s.- one of these trunks is going on my car,so that may limit the number to 6.

and Mark to kind of answer your question, the locking mechanism should be a direct swap. not 100% sure, but about 99%.
