HELP! Car not running with maf plugged in

    after I changed plugs.

History before this NEW issue of car not running after plug change:

My AWE reluctor ring came apart after a 3rd gear to 2nd gear mishap. After I put the new AWE LWFW back in (I didn't do it but a shop) the car had the following issues. I had a 6000rpm to 6500rpm (g/s would fall dwn on vag as well) power fall off and then the car would pull fine after 6500rpms (g/s would pick back up at this point) or so to red line 7200rpms. I took the car to H2 Sports that specialize in Audi's. They pressure tested the car to 21psi's, ran some vag logs & switched out my Hitachi MAF.

They couldn't fine anything wrong but would have to look closer, but said they believe the car is misfiring at those RPMS. I told them that the car ran fine before with the same set up, but I took their advice to switch out the plugs. As I was heading home the car sounded like it had a leak but again they just pressure tested and after all this crap I have been dealing with this car I thought this might just be in my head.

I switched out the plugs to copper gapped down to .025 and the car would not even start! After many tries the car would finally start, but it would buck BADLY. When driving and some times I could hear the turbos spool (like I had a anti lag on a Supra), but the car is bucking, back firing & I can smell it running rich. I finally disconnected the MAF and the car would idle and drive smooth and properly (well with the same power dropping off as before but now even earlier @ 5700rpm and no power coming back on line after 6500 rpm like before).

I took the car to another shop call Independent Tuning, another Audi specialist that the owner actually build this car in 02 when he worked at Pfaff Tunning (now he owns Independent Tunning). He told me after 35min (I must add he didn't charge me anything) of logging the car that it is ignition related and for me to just put back the old plugs and start from there since that is when the 2nd problem (of the car not running with the MAF plugged in) started. He also recommend since I am in there to replace the spark plug boots.

I questioned him about why a ignition related issue would only be effected by the MAF being connected and it should be consistent with the MAF plugged in or out (Again guys tell me if I am wrong, that is one of the reasons I am posting). I told him it might be a leak even thou H2 SPORTS pressures tested it something must of happen with the drive back or even the MAF died etc.

So I go home and reluctantly I put back the old Denso irdiums plugs in with new boots and also replaced my Evolution DV (has 80 000KM on it) with brand new 710N's with new boost hoses on the DV's (I did the 710N”S hoping when I figure this problem with the MAF out that these new DV might solve the 1st problem with the power fall off between 6000rpm and 6500rpms) THE CAR IS DOING THE SAME THING!!!

SOMEONE HELP in what the heck is happening! I am going to rebook an appointment with H2 SPORTS (being they are closer) and see what they can find out. I just don't want to be spending hundreds just to find out what the hell is going on with out consulting S4 guys.

I have a AWE STG3 with AWE SMIC, AWE LWFW.

    Any help would be GREAT!

    Thanks
