    I think I'll finally buy a new one. The new Ipod Nano, with the "shake to shuffle" feature...just downright amazing. Damn those guys are good.

    I feel like it defeats the purpose of a personal media player to have an embedded speaker. I already have problems with people playing their music so loud on their headphones that I can hear it too.

    there really isnt a point. I'd rather just have my iphone 3g and no ipod, since it does everything. less to carry. I do have a nano though for the gym, since its small and very light.

    forgot I also have my old ipod photo basically permanently connected in my car. <3 oem ipod integration.

    so..its a new speaker? just buy an iPhone if you want that. I have a 16gb, which does all that, just without the internal speaker. I do like the new nano though.

    those new features were the exact reasons i held out on buying one. I was actually looking for a secondhand 2G unlocked iphone just because i wanted an external speaker and external volume controls. now that it has those features, i may pick one up, but it's still tough to justify if i can do everything it does on my BB curve, sans the touchscreen, and the fact that i really have no other use for it.

    maybe i should just sack up and get an iphone
