    Alarm function or malfunction?

Well I have a 2001 Allroad & if I lock the doors with the windows down the alarm goes off continuously

Is there some way to set this so it doesn't happen, I'd like to leave my windows cracked so it vents a little on hot days

    Re: Alarm function or malfunction?

There are interior sensors that detect movement. If you leave the windows open and the alarm arms, it will sense when things pass by the window or if something enters the window (leaf, bug, etc...).

On older cars there was a button of the B-pillar on the driver's side to disable the interior monitor but, I don't see one on newer cars. You might need to check the vehicle manual for more details on this one. I don't have one handy so I don't have the answer at the moment.

Yeah, I have an 01 2.7T w/ the same issue. Its a real PITA! Well, at least for my neighbors and passer byers. Haven't tried de-activating the motion sensor yet. Daft hit it. Its on the lower section of the B pillar. depress it and the light should illuminate to let you know its de-activated
