fender removal

I have almost removed the fender off the car, but how to do you release it from the bottom by the door. It seems to be rivited to the car. Is that section even part of the fender? Any help is appreciated.

There are 2 torx head screws at the bottom that you need to remove. You most likely need to clean them out so you can get a torx bit into them.

Ya it looked like they were but, as you mentioned too much grim in there to tell.

where at the bottom exactly? Pic?

If that is what you are talking about? then yes it is just two torx that are coverd in this like rubbery stuff that you need to take a knife to to peel away or just ram your torx end into it until you get it to bite. and then you might have to cut it at the seam where it connects to the rest of the lower runner. Hope this helps a little?

down near the pinch where you lift the car, on the fender, there are two torx... both of which i had to drill out because they were very rusty and stripped right away
