    235/45-17 or 225 is what i would recommend.

    For a winter setup get 205/50-17. Same height but less width which means better stability through slush and slightly better traction on the really slippery stuff.

    I've run snow tires anywhere from a 205/55-16 to a 245/40-17 and the width only helps with deep snow at low speeds. Narrow is really the way to go.
