    Re: need new tires...

I just had to get all seasons. I got the new goodyear gt's. I like them so far. I got 235 45 17. I had kuhmo ecsta 711's before that. I am not sure of the tread wear but wet traction is tits. Dry traction is good aswell. They look cool. have a good amount of tread so they are louder at high speeds but not bad. I am sure it will go down as they wear. not sure if that helps any searching for tires sucks.

    I used tirerack

LOVE my 18" Nitto Invo's, can't give you mileage/wear indication since they are only 2000 miles old but they are quiet (better than the previous Kumho's thats for sure), grip like crazy in the turns and have great wet weather traction too but I haven't had much rain since putting them on. Just another option.

I have gotten the N3000's They are good and for $95 a pop you cant beat them. They are 280 tred wear or 320. I forgot. Just look it up. But they have been way better then the kumho tires i have had in the past.

Also look here. they are the 2nd tire down!

They handles good and dont have much noise and last a long time and are good in the wet. From personal use!

    Re: need new tires...

what do you need them for, what rim are they going on, do you have a price range?

    I have had:

Pirelli P6's on stock rims. ok all season, not as good as I'd like in the snow.
Blizzak LM25's on stock rims. Great snow tires, not bad for conservative dry pavement use either. shitty handling, but you'll eat them up anyway because its a snow tire compound. I use these to drive to Montana for christmas/new years from LA.
Bridgestone RE050's: fun, grippy, not bad in the wet.
Bridgestone S-03 PolePositions: AWESOME. pricey, but lots of fun to drive on. Haven't used them in the wet, but on the limit in the dry they are really predictable. Also, OE for a couple Ferrari models which is kinda funny.

I'd buy mine again (RE050A Pole Positions). Nearly new still at > 25,000km.

Else, Vredstein Ultrac Sensantas or Bridgestone's RE01R might do for ya.

    Re: need new tires...

Need more info on what type of tire you are looking for (summer/allseason/winter), also what is your price range?

I run Blizzak LM25's in the winter and Riken Raptor ZR's spring/summer/fall.
I've been very impressed with the Riken's thus far. After 5k+ miles wear seems good and dry/wet pavement is as good/better than other performance tires I've owned...and they were under $80/tire new. The LM25's are good, just get the oem width. I got a very lightly used set (95% tread left) for $40/tire, but they are 255/40R17. They fit my stock sport rims, but are a bit wide (wide isn't good for a winter tire). They still work well for me though.
