S4/RS4 Aspherical Mirrors - Any users?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Seems like a good idea but from my understanding once installed, the mirrors will still retain the defrost option but loose the auto-dimming feature? Can anyone back this up? Are these useful at all?

    thanks -

Re: S4/RS4 Aspherical Mirrors - Any users?

they are very useful as long as you set them up correctly. i can make lane changes in an instant without turning my head which makes a big difference in daily driving imo

btw, these aspherical mirrors also come in auto-dim.

auto dimming a.k.a "anti-dazzle" option for these is like 700$ right?

I think at $165 for both they are a great idea. You'll give up your auto dimming (still retain heating), but I think the added safety of reducing your blind-spot far outweighs the loss. I'm ordering right now.

i adjust my mirrors in this way. If i cant see another car in my mirrors, then it's right beside me. I suppose the convex part of the these mirrors could help with that last piece of the landscape

We can source the mirrors in auto-dimming if you'd like. Most people however simply stick with the heated option due to the cost differences.

We have the glass in stock as well, check out our site.

I don't think I can live without the aspherical mirrors.

edit: oops didn't see this thread is in the S4/RS4 forum.

Although I have to say, I used too much force when pulling the OEM mirrors out, I actually cracked one of them... so beware.

How did you remove them? What holds them in? Would heating help?
