Any one know the tranny used in a 1.8t?

So like many know I raced my friends with there audi's back in like July... I bragged how my (almost stock) A4 b6, kicked a b6 1.8tq (stock) and b7 2.0t MT, with out a sweat!
-- Many argued here on the thread that my CVT was lighter, and blah blah blah..

So my question to you guys is, does the 2004 3.0L V6 CVT sport (non Quattro) and the 2005 1.8TQ Sport Automatic with trip use the same tranny??

When I drive my car the revvs never really get "up there" with the CVT...It usually keeps the RPM in between 2-3rpms. When he drives, his go up/down/left/right... lol.... so it made me wonder ok... does he have CVT or a standard auto 6 spd.?

u gotta search, any auto with quattro is a Tiptronic, any FWD auto is a CVT.

I thought all A4s with the V6 engine had quattro. I mean I've never seen a B5 2.8 fwd or a B7 3.2 fwd.

B5 2.8s, B6 3.0s and B7 3.2s exist in FWD form.
