If I want to put these in my B6 1.8t, should I purchase the
    "Halogen"
    "Xenon"
    Or
    "Xenon Upgrade"

    model for my car

My car has the stock Halogen and Halogen housings at the moment, and I want to put HIDs in the car once I get these

I can get the HIDs from a buddy, so I'm totally lost as to what I should order

    Thanks all,

    Greg

the xenon upgrade option is an extra 800+$ on this website. meaning it probably comes with oem parts which fit these headlights.
HIDconcept.com sells the "kit" you need to put into OEM xenon housings. you need D1S bulbs and the matching ballasts(~300$ from HIDConcept). Most aftermarket kits (like the one your buddy has) use xenon bulbs with a halogen base so you can install them in halogen housings (not a good idea)
If he has an aftermarket kit for you that uses D1S bulbs and matching ballasts, go for it...but they are rare. if its just that halogen conversion kits, don't bother.

    AH okay!

So that being said, would it just be better for me [a headlight and just overall tuning and modding noob] to just order the $800kit and install that?

Considering it comes with everything needed, right?

    Thanks
    Greg

That is up to you.its 800$ ON top of the cost of the housing, this makes me assume it comes with new OEM ballasts and bulbs. or you can buy just the housing and get the same kit (but with "slightly used" ballasts) with new bulbs from HIDconcept.com for ~300. If you feel comfortable with slightly used ballasts and wana save money, go for HIDconcepts D1S kit....
if you have 800+ to blow, i'd say get the entire kit. email them to find out whats included in this kit first though.

    Re: Headlight [Housing] Question

Thanks so much man, I really appreciate the help.

    I'll probably go with the
Valeo 4300K D1S OEM HID Kit

I'm assuming this set-up is just a plug and play type one where I just connect everything and Poof! It all works?

Since it looks like HIDconcepts is sold out of this kit, I'll search the classifieds and ebay!

    Thanks again!
