    Black B7 Full Detail

    I thought I would post pictures of my recent full detail that I had done on my black 2005.5 b7. If anyone in Columbus, Ohio is looking for a detailer the guy who did my car did a great job. His name is Todd and his company is
    Esoteric Detailing. Here is what he did, all I can say is that it is like owning a new car. It had heavy swirling/hazing/holograms caused by dealer "detailer".

    This is what he did/used:

    Process:
    Dawn wash to remove any remaining wax
    Clay
    Wash again
    Blow dry using Blaster Sidekick
    IPA (isopropyl alcohol) wipedown
    Windows cleaned with Stoner's Invisible Glass

    Clean wheels with Meg's Wheel Brighterner
    Wheel wells cleaned with Meg's APC+
    Tires dressed with Sonus Tire Gel

    Exhaust tips cleaned with 0000 steel wool
    "" 1500 grit wetsand
    "" 2000 grit wetsand

    Polishing:
    Megs 95 with Purple Foamed Wool for leveling stage
    IPA wipedown
    Menzerna 106FF with white pad for finishing stage
    IPA wipedown
    Optimum car wax by hand

    Tools used:
    Makita 9227 rotary polisher
    Porter Cable DA polisher
    Blaster Sidekick dryer
    Canon Rebel XSi with 18/55mm lense

    Total time: 10.5 hours

    awesome!!! looks like a mirror.
    I just want to know who sees this after they get done and thinks, "what a great job i just did!"



    anyone who "details" like this has no business being employed in a field anywhere even remotely related to cars. it makes me sick.

    I purchased the car CPO at Audi dealership. I think it was a combination of when I went to pick the car up of me being so excited I didn't realize how bad the detail job was and the fact that they had it in the shade sitting on a display waiting for me to pick it up. The dealership sure did a bad job, and messed it up pretty good.

    I will be careful for now on when washing to keep it looking good and to prevent swirls.

    seen these pics before. The guy that did your car is a s2ki member and does good work. Came out nice.

    Thanks guys...I'm the one that worked on Jason's car. It looked a bit rough when he dropped it off, but it polished up quite nicely.
