To set the stage - I have a FI fullback exhaust and it's been running perfectly for about 2 yrs now. Last month while I was at a stop light, the engine starts sputtering during and my CEL came right up.

The fault codes I pulled are:

    16684 - random/multiple misfire
16815 - warmup catalyst below threshold
    16691 - cylinder 7 misfire

Since then I have cleared the code and luckily, the only one that came back is the 16815 code.

I spoke to Audi technicians about this and they said the misfire can happen because lack of back pressure from the fullback exhaust unless I have a bad coil which I don't think it's the case here.

Hopefully you guys can help me out with the last CEL code....I've seen similar code in B5s but nothing yet in the B6/B7 section.

So far, I've tried repositioning and even switching O2 sensors but nothing works yet so I thought I toss is out here and see if there are any other tricks other than getting a new cat. Help an Audi brother out!

    Re: CEL code 16815

Sounds like a coil pack to me.
