I think a stock bumper with RS4 honeycomb looks better than RS4 or Reiger.

Nice job on the ride man, car looks sick.

He was also a SCCA seasoned driver and had 10" wide wheels with R Compound tires on them

Looking good! Any time comparisions with the other cars? I bet that boxer was quick, they usually are esp. w/ some r-compounds!

So how do you think the street sports held up on the track (along with your nuespeed RSB)? It looks like you got a pretty good amount of body roll under hard cornering. Did you get any/much rubbage up front or back? Also curious to see if you kept the STaSis settings or stiffened the dampening up at all...

BTW, those are some MASSIVE wheels for auto-x'ing... looked like 19's w/ some 35-series tires... they must be light as hell

I believe I was 6th out of about 30, first was the Boxster, then a SCCA MK1 Scirroco, grey subie, black subie, Techno Violet e36 M3 Sedan (sex), then me.

The subies didn't count (for trophies at least) because it was a euro event and it would be like taking my car to an interior fashion show @ subiefest .

My suspension held up actually pretty damn well for how much I paid for it, $65 for RSB and $650 NIB Street Sports on Ebay. I rubbed in the front, but I do that Daily Driving anyway so I was expecting it. Kept stock Stasis dampening settings.

Those are OEM 18" RS6 Audi wheels. 18x8, 235x40x18 tires Weight about 25-26lbs each. SportContis (or whatever) which are down to like 15% treadleft. So I think they did pretty well how beat to hell they are and how un prepared for Autox I was

Well, that's definitely good to know. I know that the spring rates are definitely not ideal for Solo, but that wasn't my original intention for the car (I had a dedicated Solo car already). Believe me, if had the scratch for some Ohlins (or even Track Sports), I would. But if I can [occasionally] track the car and have a little fun with it, yet maintain as much streetability as I can, that would be preferred. My next check is hopefully going towards a full sway kit and a DTS, but we'll see. IMO there is a LOT of tightening up that needs to be done to the engine/transission/drivetrain along with the suspension upgrades. I'm sure that will change the car's behavior/demeanor drastically. I know a center diff is also a main culprit, but again, I've got a set budget for this car

Obviously next in line is the brakes, but I might be able to get a good set of pads, ss-lines, and DOT-4/5.1 to hold me over for a bit. Again, this car hasn't seen the track yet, and I have only moderately pushed it on the streets: Do you still have stock calipers and/or rotors? If so, how did you feel they held up? Some people say they are extremely inadequate and others say they do okay. I am sure reality is somewhere in between, esp. with some better pads, lines, and fluid!

Center diff, and bigger/better brakes are definetly on the list, as well as some tracksports (ha ohlins if i sell my kidneys AND my girlfriend).

The brakes? I have oem rotors crossdrilled with pbr ultimate ceramics, stock fluids and lines. They are okay, really the bite is good for the first couple runs, BUT they fade and get so fucking hot. After each of the 4 "lap" sections my rotors would literally be smoking and I would need to roll it off slowly. It does that when im in the canyons also. They are good for being stock brakes and not meant as a "racer" car, but if you do anything close to this, then they aren't up to par.
