Who has Stasis Street sports, Votgland, or some other CO?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
StartupRacing has been working with Votgland to develop some rear springs for people who already have a coil over system. Our special springs will get your other coil over suspension to ride more like our Votgland GT kit, & a very low price!

Our GT spring kit, will fit just about any aftermarket coil over system. You will get less understeer, less body roll, & much more stable handling! Of course you will retain your current ride height.

The kit is 2 rear springs, & 2 rear spring guides. On the B6/B7, they take about 20min to install, & about an hour on B5's. You will not need a wheel alignment after the install.

We are looking for a couple of locals to try out our StartupRacing coil over GT spring kit, special pricing for the test group of $75.

I am somewhat interested, I've always thought the stasis super street springs were too soft. What's the spring rate on your kit going to be? And are they progressive?

It's a linear spring, that is part of gives our GT Spring kit better handling. Sorry, we can not release the spring rates.

I've got the H&Rs on a B6 S4. Curious about the springs. Rears only? That seems like stiffer springs without a corresponding change in compression or rebound since the H&Rs are not adjustable. Hmmm...

    Tell me more!

Yes, rear only, the shocks can handle it fine. The linear springs help the shocks more then the adjustable rate progressive springs, so the shocks will actually have better control over the spring.

We can also do the fronts. Our choice was for something cheap, & easy to install, that didn't need to be realigned.

Tempting - although the S4 is strictly confined to the street where I don't get it to push like at a track/auto-x day.

I'd actually like a little more plush ride out of the car for it's current mission.

That seams like a bit of a waste! It like to be driven hard. With our GT spring kit, the ride should not really change.

Agreed. But I've got other cars better suited for auto-x / track duty. :)

The S4 is almost too easy to drive. It's work to get the tail out and I have to overdrive it to get it to rotate and it's 3800 pounds!

    LOL! Yea, I hear ya.

But you know, part of the reason it's a pig, is the suspension setup.

Can't argue with that. I figured short of moving the engine back 10" or so - a humoungus rear bar would probably be a good start.

I was a little surprised at how limited it seems to be when it comes to alignment on a stock car.

JUST the rear springs will be Votgland GT, the shocks are still Stasis Streetsports.

You know moving the batter to the trunk is like moving the engine back & down a couple of inches!

There is some adjustment, rear toe is very important, as is the front.

so why can't you do both front and rear?

How does this effect warranty (if i even have any from stasis?)

We can do both, but it's more money & install time, then you need a wheel alignment. So instead of $150 you are looking @ $4-600 after install & alignment. Really if you are going to go this route (all 4 springs), you might be better off removing the Stasis SS & installing the Votgland GT kit.

The spring should not affect the warranty in any way. The spring is the same type & size, the rates are the big difference. That will not affect shock life at all.
