Arrow Experiencing a myriad of problems -many pics

    Hey guys,

Lately i've been experiencing a few problems with my car ever since i got my coilovers 3-4 months ago. While on the freeway, the rear of the car starts vibrating subtly and it only happens on the freeway at 75+ mph.

Then on Friday, Sept 5th, I took my car in to Penske Audi for a check engine light, got it back the same day, and ever since then, i've been hearing abnormal clunks and stuff from the right side of the car when i go over bumps and dips. I dont EVER speed over dips and bumps because i'm pretty low all around. tonight when i went under to check up on my car, i saw that the RS4 swaybar endlinks were rubbing against the right axle and leaving a groove in it.

(this is on the passenger side.)

Then when i took off the front wheel, i also saw something i THOUGHT was abnormal but didn't think it was that big of a problem. Apparently, the helper springs on my bilstein shocks were completely compressed and i didnt realize it was that big of a deal until i saw a picture i took of it a week ago.

Heres the front driver's side shock with the wheel off and on jack stands (A WEEK AGO):

The shock now. It's the same WITH and WITHOUT weight on it so something's definitely different. (sorry for the bad picture. didn't want to take wheel off):

My initial assumption is that the mechanics at the dealer lifted the car up and somehow dropped it on the ground blowing my front shocks... but the funny thing is that my rear shocks are fine..

Oh and one more thing: they fucked up my jack points on 3 corners of the car. As a result, the area below the side skirts is a little bent. Heres a pic of the passenger side rear jack point:

Anyone know what the fuck is going on with my car?

If you're hearing abnormal 'clunking' sounds and so forth post service visit, you should definitely take your car right back to Penske first thing on Monday or Tuesday morning and address the issue(s) them asap - along with the pics!

Those jack points are messed up !! I'd be unhappy with that

Regarding the front coilovers - sounds like you're getting some bad stiction on the shocks. (the inner & outer shafts are binding up rather than sliding in and out...). Not good - I can only recommend getting back to the installer for a closer inspection.... Good luck...

I've never heard of the RS4 rear bar touching the drive shaft like that - might need to trim the ends of the bar...

Has the car ever been in an accident ? Wheels alignment/geometry in order ??

Nope. No major accidents where there was body damage. the only accident was a minor bump to the rear end:

My alignment should be fine.. i got an alignment a few weeks after i got my coilovers. I always drive cautiously and avoid potholes and stuff..

is there any way to fix the jackpoints?

did you try contacting Bilstein for advice? As for the jackpoints, they just suck. One of mine is messed up but I don't know who did it (me, buddy, or dealer).

You better make them pay to fix those jack points. They maycause you some futureproblems along with a lower resale.
