    HELP Cam Tensioner Tool stuck!

    I just finished installing a new Cam Tensioner gasket and half moon and also the valve cover gasket. All 4 bolts tightened on the Cam Tensioner then as I was unscrewing the Cam Tensioner tool, the bolt got so loose and felt I can remove it BUT no deal. The tool is now STUCK! Anyone in here have an idea of what happened and how to remove it?

    Can you pull the bolt for the tensioner tool completely out? The chain may be wedged against the nylon top piece. Have you tried recompressing it and moving the chain slightly. Then taking the tool out again?

    Just don't put the valve cover on with the tool in place. The valve cover gets caught and then you bitch and moan...

    The bolt is whats not coming off. Even though its unscrewed and loose. The chain is not caught on the tool itself.

    Sounds like you might have to pull the tensioner out of the car and see why the bolt is not coming out of the bottom of the tensioner.
