    trouble installing apexi TT

    so here i am confused as fuck lol. ive searched and searched everything. read all the greddy tt III install, chads ''guide'' and kitchs ''post''.

    i have everything down execpt my ''target wires''

    Look up to the left of the steering column. There are two harnesses encased in black nylon webbing. The one closest to you is the one you need.
    Slit it open w/ a razor blade. You need the big BLACK wire, one of the two RED wires, & the tiny REDw/BLACK wire.

    so the nylon webbing that i opened had. the big black wire, the small redw/black wire and like FOUR red wires all the roughly the same size! how do i know which one to T-tap???

    can anyone help or clarify what im doing?

    Re: trouble installing apexi TT

    If the install is similar to the Greddy, you don't need to go anywhere near the steering wheel. I had a person install it for me, but wish I did it myself as he installed it incorrectly. So, I went to the DIY write up to correct it and the write up is exactly on point (pictures help a lot). Mine is mounted right by the fuse panel via industrial strength velcro.

    Edit: I just noticed what you mean by your inquiry. Here is a DIY write up for the Apexi TT, but you really do not need to do all of that. The write up I first placed a link to is very simple and straight foward.

    The Greddy Install (off website) is rather confusing. The write up above is what you should try. Works for mine. I editted (added) a link for the Apexi TT install, but that too seemed rather complicated (but I am sure is not). Just use this one and chimme back if you have any difficulties.

    My turbo timer = me waiting for my car to cool down if Ive been beating on it.

    Cost = Free. ninety free
    Installation difficulty = 2ez

    I think turbo timers are a gimic in my opinon you can drive normal for a couple minutes before you get home, or let your car idle for a few mins

    Re: trouble installing apexi TT

    I just got mine because I drive rather spirited and hated sitting in my car for 1-2 min before shutting off my engine. Now I can drive to the destination and hop out with no worries or waiting.

    Say one was in a hurry somewhere and had to hop out the car at arrival immediately (say wife was delivering offspring). While that adrenalin was pumping there would be no issue of having to wait for proper cool down of your turbo.

    I did find the TT pointless at first (before I got one). But now I adore not having to sit in my car (at destination) or staying out of boost couple minutes before arrival.

    yea if you have the patience to sit in your car for a few min then go for it. but when you hop out your ride and lock your car and walk away with your keys in your hand and everyone is like WTF why is your car running then it kills itself... its a dope feeling ya'll
