    General Tranny Question

Hi, Im thinking about switching from a e36 m3 to a 2001.5 s4, I read alot about people having tranny problems with these cars. My question is are all b5 s4's effected or some years are better for the tranny than others like 2001.5 vs 2000. I tried searching but only read about the problem actuallly occuring, like grinding etc.

    Re: General Tranny Question

From what I hear the 2002's have the best transmissions.

    Re: General Tranny Question

from what i hear it depends on how much you beat on the transmission or how much it was beaten on in all honesty. they made differences between the years but i do believe transmissions are the same. i have a 00 (suppose to be the 'evil' year) with 95k, original everything that runs low low 11s with zero tranny or engine problems.
