chicago folks: pre-purchase inspection

I'm planning on buying a 2004 B6 A4 USP via private party. Car is located in Chicago but I am in STL.

I would like to get the car inspected by an independent mechanic (or should I have seller bring it to the dealership?). Does anybody have any recs?

If seller is paying for it i say let the dealership deal with it.
If u, then to independent mechanic (less $$$). We've got a lot of shop around here. Where is buyer located?

typically buyer pays for inspection no? well I just sold my B6 and the buyer paid for it.

anyways, let's assume I'm paying, seller is located in naperville.

There is a good dealership in Naperville called Contintental Audi they are even mods friendly if it matters.
And GRD shop located in Villa Park.
Call that dealership first and see how much they gonna chrge u for he check-up.

Oh, I know the seller takes his car to Continental Audi for service. I'll call them tomorrow. So sounds like the service dept is good? I was looking at the CPOed car listing online and man their prices are pretty steep.

I'll call the GRD shop as well, this is it correct?
