    launch problem

    i am preping my car for the track this wensday but i have this major problem.

    it seems that i can no longer luanch my car.

    when i drop the cluch like i always used to do all i get is a jerk along with a grinding noise.

    is it possible that the cluch is not fully engaging and just grinding on the flywheel. if so how can i fix this problem?

    also i have tried luanching the car at all rpms and even tried to slip the cluch and i am just getting the same grinding noise.
    2.0 stroker, built aeb head, T3/TO4E t-61 BB F162 .63AR turbonetics turbo, front mount, open down pipe. Port and polished intake manifold. 800cc injectors.

    and a our New cayane GTS in red.

    I would budget for a new clutch plate, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bushing and flywheel (might be able to resurface old one). Grinding noises from the clutch are a sure sign of a major mechanical malfunction.

    Does your rpm's shoot up when you hear the sound?

    Knowing Jordan's car, and knowing my car. I'm worried I may have to ditch this OFE SS and go that route. I'm giving it until I get my new tune to figure that one out...

    I just happened to look at my clutch when I took the engine out and the disk was seperating on my OFE SS. They are replacing with an FE and stiffening the pressure plate more as well and resurfacing flywheel all for FREE.

    If the slave was bad you wouldn't be able to change gears while the engine was running. Since your rpm's dont shoot up when this happens the clutch is not slipping.

    Sounds like something is catching on the clutch or flywheel, that or you have major transmission issues.
