    Re: B5 S4 fuel filter change.....help

hahah have fun. that is a bitch to do. i started it and then gave up for a little. looked over the service records and it was replaced about 9k miles ago. i said f*ck it until i get it on a lift.

but since you want some info. it is in the right rear of the car, right infront of the tub for the spare tire. it is straight up, next to the gas tank. your gona need a torx bit, yes a bit, on a really small ratchet to get in there. the torx is all the way on the top and u have no room to work. I actually saw a special ratchet from snap-on, that actually has the bit slide into the head. that would be my only idea to get it out.

one u jack up the car and see where it is, your gona be like wow. if you have any other questions, just ask.

i did this on my a4 and im pretty sure the right up is on the s4 but anyways i just took the banjo fitting off and took channel lock pliars and just ripped that thing out... then since there is a torx bit that holds it on i just cut the plastic that holds it in to get it back in you dont need it the 2 lines hold it there fine hope this helps...
