Tail light bulbs keep blowing out!

So I got my car with 37k about a year ago. Since then, I've had all various bulbs blow out on both the left and right tail light bulb.

Last night, I hit a straight away and gun it. I get to fourth gear and I get a error message "Right brake light out"

Why is this such a common occurrence? Anyone else got this problem?

clean the contacts. You may need to bent the contact peices back in a little more so there is more pressure holding the bulb in place.

i had that problem, but i figured it out when i had to move wires. Sometimes is stuffed wires just to make my taillight go in and sometimes they would not work, but not blown, so i moved it around and placed it right, never did it again. maybe im just lucky

There was a thread about it.

Something similar happened to me, the display would randomly say that one of my tails was out. Just like EBG 18T said, check the contacts. When I pulled the taillight I found that the bulb really just wasn't in there snug enough so it rattled around. Also another thing I've heard and not sure if theres any real "science" behind it but I still follow it, is to change out the respective bulb on the other tail/head light when something goes out. In case that isn't clear, say my left taillight bulb blew, I'd change both the left and right.

Thanks for the input. I guess I'll clean the contacts.

This morning I had the same error message and then it went away? Light is back on and working lol...
