DO i need my 65k service?

So i have an 02 1.8t and audi just sent me a service reminder.

I recently got an oil change about 1k mile ago, and replaced all four of my coils b.c one blew. I don't know where my manual is, so I was wondering if i really need to get this service done and if anything bad would happen to my car. I also didn't get my timing belt checked yet.

If you guys highly recommend getting service done, should i get it done at audi? or vw or simply take it to my mechanic and tell him what needs to be done.

Timing belt and water pump job should be done around there. I just shreaded my water pump at 75K.

However they did change the intervals for the timing belt starting 2004 i think....
