    where is the oil going?

    B7 a4 doing 9000kms and low oil light coming on had to top up with a quart today & when -the car was doing about 4500kms same problem oil light came up and engine needed topping up, any suggestions ppl?

    it is getting burned probably thanks to the positive crankcase ventilation system

    All my past and present Audis did it. Audi engines just like to eat up oil. My past Japanese cars never did this.

    my 02 A4 uses minimal oil, and the b7 every 3-4000k you have to topup with a kquart and a half

    i add a quart every two months, give or take. Seems normal?

    is there any technical explination for this? and what is the best body oil i can use to help prevent as much oil loss in my tropical climate?

    I was having the same problem as you, but I took it to the dealer last week and I just got my car back, there is a service bulletin to replace the crankcase.

    Hopefully, i wont have to add oil every now and then.

    Just wanted to let you and use the oil that the owners manual recommends.

    I'll report if anything changes.
