I will be getting mine done this Friday. Instead of the H&R setting up i am going with Abt, which I was told is not as stiff as the H&R one. I will get some pictures taken before and after later. For those who is interested, this is the Abt springs

Still working on adding the B8 A4 category to the www.achtuning.com website but in the meantime, you can certainly call us to order H&R springs.

    List price: $439 | Achtuning price: $394

KW has springs out too, with FWD coilovers available and Quattro coilovers in development.

KW always gets a thumbs-up from me! STaSIS also has something in development. I haven't heard exact ETA yet but I imagine very soon.

I hope STaSIS has a coilover application out by the time my car is delivered because my dealer is STaSIS authorized and I'd have them installed before I pick it up. I know STaSIS used Koni suspension products for their coilover kits in the past. Any idea if they're using them again this time? In my last communication from Koni, they said they had nothing in the works and no request from STaSIS to make a kit for the B8.

I'm waiting to hear exact confirmation from STaSIS myself but I have a feeling their first offering for the B8 A4 is gonna be an Ohlins SL kit...

I had an email exchange with a STaSIS rep yesterday who could only confirm that their first suspension will be ready in about two weeks and it will NOT be a height adjustable coilover suspension. Not sure if this is just a set of springs to work with ADS, but for me no c/o=no care. He also said they have a brake kit and wheels available now with exhaust in about 45 days, ECU in about 60 days, and anti-roll bar and differential sometime in the near future.

Re: lowering springs for B8 A4?

Had the Abt springs installed today and pretty impressed so far. The slow speed ride is still very good but at higher speed it bounced a bit, which is expected. I would say it is slightly harder than the C6A6 S-line that I had before. The sloppiness during the turn in is almost gone and the car is much sharper and decisive. Overall I am happy but felt that it may be a tad too stiff. In any case it is a significant improvement over the standard suspension.

    Pics or ban!

Wonder who makes ABT springs... They're not a suspension company so I can only assume they're rebranded H&R's maybe?

It was rather late at night when it was all done. I will try to get some pictures taken today....

No idea who make the springs but who cares if it's good, plus the quality shouldn't be bad given the reputation of the company.

I will have more time driving the car today including some highway stuff so it should give me a better idea.

Here you go. Sorry for the bad quality. I only had my phone with me but you should be able to see the lower ride height.

    After

That is still WAY too high. What the hell! Why can't these "sports cars" sit like a sports car should! Can't anyone but BMW put out a car without a suspension lift on it? I'm sorry, but seeing this B8 A4 with lowering spring just made me mad.

You have to remember, everyone doesn't have the nice, flat roads of Austin. Here in Seattle, I won't be able to go much lower than stock sport (if I can go lower at all). Neither will a lot of other people. Stock sport is a good compromise for many of us.
