Bay Area CA Suspension Install - Help Me Out !

Hey everyone!

I am in the South Bay Area, CA and looking for a place I can get suspension installed for a reasonable cost (aftermarket struts/springs).... Places I've called are all asking $100+/hr and say it'll be a 5-6 hour job. Is that really the going rate around here? Anybody recommend or know of a place where a more reasonable price is possible?

Even better would be someone who has all the tools and previous experience and wants to do the install for me. We can work out a good price and I'll pay you the cash that day.

this is such an easy job. i dont know how anyone could say its a 5 or 6 hour job. id say 30 minutes per wheel tops.

that sounds like a cool idea, i need to get raised about a half inch in the front, man i've been rubbin my butt off! no joke either, i cut out my fender wells, and grinded off my fenders a little, and still rubbin, my tires are taking a beating

i need a job only tool i need is a spring compressor cause i borrow one to put mine in but i'd be down

I'd definitely be down for a gtg...i just bought new springs and shocks myself so I'd love to get some help on the install. Also...does anyone have experience with a clear corner mod???

free rentals on spring compressors at autozone..... and x2 on clear corner mod, i'd like to clear mine, but i'm paranoid about scratching the inside all up....

I tried to rent some a couple days ago from Pepboys, Kragen and Autozone. All locations were rented out (AND sold out of actual units in stock) and one of these retailers doesn't rent them at all (I think Pepboys).

I found 1 set at a Kragen, I purchased it for $40, (good deal I thought), turns out it's defective, one of the nuts isn't threaded right. Either way, I was trying to install my coilovers without an impact and after getting the front corner off I didn't think it was wise to continue.

i do this job for $100.00 a corner, so if you supply the parts, i can get it installed at $400.00 and you get it aligned , if i have it aligned add $100.00 so $500.00 with alignment........holla at me.....

that sucks!! when the gtg is all set to go, i can try my local autozone and bring em to the meet, since a bunch of people want to do suspensions, it couldn't hurt to have a few sets....
