Detail shop messed up my rim

What the hell is that stuff? Is it chipped, paint or scratched? If its chipped then you can buy those from the dealer. If its paint I would first go buy some cleaner or a buff it out. If thats a scratch I would try buffing as well. I have never seen that. I had to replace those things when they got torn up when I chipped them.

I'd go back to the detail shop and have them buy you some new ones! thats not right. but yes you can get them at the dealer!

looks like they used a power washer on your wheels.. never a great idea if you have plastic covers painted silver.. i'd take it back and have them comp you

see if you can have the shop reimburse you...my local dealer wanted about $50 for each cap

i ended up buying a set off of ebay with same part number but they didn't fit

I'd go back and show the detailer shop. and then make them pay for new ones since its their fault

That's exactly what the center caps on my car look like. It's either from the acid they spray to clean your rims or from powerwashing them... Either way, I never went back to that car wash place again. And yes, they are expensive-ish... so I haven't got new ones yet...

My center caps also started to peel, they were alot worse actually. I had them replaced by the dealer under warrenty. My Service Adviser stated it was a known problem as well. Just don't go to the dealer and say i got my car detailed and this is what happen, they probably wont replace it.

Looks like they may have used acid to clean the wheels and left it on to long, because the plastic is much weaker than the metal wheels.

my centercaps are starting to look like that a bit. So I guess this is one of the few things that are covered under warranty?

I have that on one of my caps. I'm not sure what it's from. I could just use the one on the full size spare to fix it though....
