Where to buy just the cats for Milltek downpipes?

My Milltek dp's are shot. Since I'm not the original buyer they refuse to replace them.

Where can I buy just the cats so i can have a muffler shop remove the old cats and weld in the new ones?

btw; how many miles on them before they died?

Contact Brent LaBree at Labree Motorsports. Dodge2Dub used LaBree cats to replace the failed cats on his FI downpipes.

Milltek sucks, btw. Shitty build quality and shitty customer service.

I don't know why everyone hates Milltek. I loved both sets that i have owned and found them to be perfect in every way. Of course, I have never had anything else so I'm probably not the best judge.

gut the cats and get o2 spacers for the rear o2 sensors.

Interesting post. I bought my B7 S4 with a "custom" exhaust from the dealer. Problem was it kept giving me a check engine light and there were fumes coming into the cabin. Here are some pics, no cats. Would a simple spacer remove the CEL? Also are the fumes because of a bad install or fitment? The dealer threw the stock ones back on and all issues were resolved, but it was like someone turned off the fun button.

Personally, I find it unacceptable that their downpipes are far and away the most expensive yet they lead the league in failed cats. Then Milltek refuses to stand behind their product when it goes bad. As for their catbacks, they sound great but the build quality SUUUCKS. Again, their prices are the highest yet they can't polish their welds???? Thoroughly unacceptable.

They won't replace mine because I'm not the original buyer. I'm OK with that but considering they know there is/was a problem with their cats failing yet they use that technicallity as a reason to not stand behind their warranty. That to me is VERY POOR customer service!

I must say that $600 for each cat is very expensive and that is even more of a reason to hate Milltek and Stratmosphere. The charge that much for cats and yet cannot stand behind it.

I've called Strat and asked if they would be willing to help me out with getting the cats (maybe at cost) to replace my failed ones and they won't do that. That's another reason to hate Strat. I'm not asking for something free.

Something MUST be up with Milltek as a company. Gotta agree that their products are not what they have been in the past. The guys who own Startmosphere are great people, but I do think it's time for them to take a good hard look at Milltek at this point in time. The overall construction quality is still good, but as correctly pointed out, for $3k, I shouldn't have to fix things cosmetically myself.

Since they made the switch to 400 cell cats Brent claims they haven't had a single failure. That is unsubstantiated but take it for what it's worth. Also, their products are all on sale thru the end of the year. I bought a set of downpipes last month for $1100. So far, so good.

Two sets of DP's and catbacks and , although I don't own them anymore, they are both still running great. The cat-back that I currently have on the car now bolted right up an works perfectly.

What was your bad experience with them?
