    Forge 007 causing surging!?

ok i installed my forge 007 on my 99 a4 and now im getting really bad surging when i let off the gas (rpms drop to around 300, sometimes stall and then go back to around 1000 or so) I tried it with every different springs, shims, and even backwards and it doesnt help it. I put my stock one back in and it runs perfect. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of this and possibly know what to do to fix it?

Sounds more like the diaphram inside needs to be serviced. Take out the DV, take a rag and wipe the entire DV. Then grease (mobil 1 synthetic) the outside of the diaphram (I use a pretty nice amount to keep my mind safe knowing that I placed enough), inside wall of dv and a little around the top rim of the DV. Use the yellow spring, seeing that you have a k04 and all should be well. But it seems like the diaphram of the dv is not sliding well and needs servicing.

*note-the forge dv is supposed to be serviced at least once a year

How many pounds of boost is your setup making?

    Chip? Exhaust? What other mods?

    Re: Forge 007 causing surging!?

My suggestion would be to use the Yellow spring with 1 shim installed in either orientation.

    It should work fine.

The only issue might be if the cap isn't tight and there is a leak or one of the o-rings isn't sealing or possibly a leak with the vacuum line to the top of the valve. Just pop out the piston to double check it before you reinstall it and then check that line.
