    stuck piston on dv?

What does a stuck piston inside the dv sound/feel like? Whenever I let off the gas I can feel a slight vibration through the cabin along with a sound that differs from the normal "blow off" / release of air you would hear with the DV. this just started last night. I am assuming its a stuck piston but how else can I diagnose this before I dig deeper?

it would only be a piston if its an aftermarket dv. if the sound is more of a honkin noise it could be a rip in a diaphragm dv. going by your description my best guess would be a boost leak. sounds like you're descibing air coming from another source.

I did pull an "incorrect flow secondary air pump" code with the vag com..

And it does sound like a honk.

Boost leak test. Then replace hoses (or reconnect if any came loose) and tighten clamps as necessary.

    1st method
    2nd method
    3rd method (one I use)
