Okay, so installed the Podi boost gauge awhile back during the group buy and then put a couple dabs of plastic epoxy on the outer rim so that it is secure inside the steering-column mounted podi. Gauge turns to out to be broken and finally recieved a replacement from Winston, all I had to do was unplug the broken one, plug in the new one and BAM, problem solved....
But here's the kicker.......I had to be the dumb-ass and "thinking ahead" by gluing the gauge in the podi ***smacks forehead*** so instead of making a 5 min. swap a whole day ordeal!! Tried using lacquer thinner to break the bond then pry it up w/ a flathead, all that did was scratch up my steering-column mount and the thinner discolored is also!!!
Any have a fvcking clue how I can get the gauge out of the podi.
IIRC I also tried to take the steering column top off and just pry it out, but I can't seem to get the torx head on the fvcking screw!!! why would they put it so far in there w/ a tiny inch opening to stick the screw-driver through??!!?? And I am using a T8 torx driver, hopefully the right size??
TIA
