That b8 is sweet...the small road course was all I needed to beleive in the drive select program...after driving a merc, bmw, and lexus and having to go hand over hand to make some turns...while in the new Audi I never had to move my hands on the wheel. damn nice.... if you get the drive select...you dont get "S" on your auto tran...the dynamic changes the throttle and the trans as if you were in "S"

a few notes for those who have never gone to this event....
    1. chances are you will be one of few who actually own an Audi
    2. if your group is small; hang to the back and you will not have to pair up with another driver and you get double the driving time
    3. look at who might be infront of you...my first drive on the road course, grandma never gave me enough space to have fun
    4. after the small comparo course you get to really have fun with the new A4 in groups of three...we got on to one of the straights at AMS and got to use the throttle :) try to find two other sets of drivers that will drive agressive...they will only go as fast as the slowest person feels comfortable
    5. after all is done you get to go back out if you wish will the full line of cars and get to take a few laps with any type...all standard versions...no "s" and no R8. Get there first so you can chose the car you want first...the a5 and tt go first.
    6. total time of the event was 3 hours
    7. at least in Atlanta the cops were waiting for us as we left the track...got two people I was testing with and one of them got a ticket on the way in also...
    my mod list...really boring $!ht + APR

Sounds fun, I might have to go one day. Is there like a new set of days or something?

Re: Just got back from Audi driving experience in atlanta

I went to the Driving Event in Atlanta as well. I was very impressed with the Drive Select and steering sensitivity. I went on Saturday morning.

    I drive a 07' A4 and love it.

I think I would have rather tested cars that are better than those we tested. Clearly Merc, Lexus and BMW aren't that great at AWD hence why their sports vehicles are not awd. :)

Audi drive select as an AUTO is clearly better than those we tested, very responsive and smart. Manual might be a lot different testing as far as power goes.

Suspension and Steering was obviously better in the Audi. Lexus and BMW weren't bad, but I probably would have enjoyed the 330 or 350. Merc felt like a crappy boat. :)

Now I do have a question, they talked about how they changed to the 40/60 torque.
What ratio is the B7 setup with? and I remember hearing that we can't change that at all via VAG? is that still the case?

I wonder how much more torque APR, GIAC, and Revo can get out of this baby with the stock torque already at 258.

50:50. The first 40:60 car is the B7 RS4. You cannot change the setup as far as I know. The 4wd hardware is a fully time torque sensing diff which is diifferent from many electronic "on demand" devices that some other makers use.

I also went the the event at AMS on Saturday Morning at 8am. Me and a buddy actually have a video of us on the road course in the A4. When he sends me the video I will but a Clicky Link up so all can view. We have one of him driving the E300 4matic and me driving the IS250. I'll post them like I said when I get the videos on my computer. I agree the other 3 cars didn't stand up to the audi on the cone course, but the lexus air-conditioned seats where amazing! I drove the TT as well, and it really freaking moves. I can't imagine putting just a chip into it, and the suspension felt much more secure than the A4. Anyways, hope to get the links up within the next 24hrs.

    Matt
