Chicago (Northwest Suburbs) Help!!!

Hey was wondering what would be a good shop to replace timing belt and all that jazz. I have a b6 a4 1.8t. If anyone can help thanks.

I just got a notification from Audi that my warranty was extended due to the possible timing belt failure issue. Im taking mine to Schaumburg Audi Monday and they are doing the warranty work for me, and mines a 2001 TT.

03. I took it in to Schaumburg today and they said I need to replace it which is around $1200.

A lot of people got that letter. And from what i understood, they would replace one only if you had already let them look before at 25k miles/50k miles and 75k (i'm not sure). Otherwise they would just tell you if yours has to be changed.

OP, just curious, how many miles u got?
P.S. Timing Belt jon includes:
Timing Belt, tensioner(s), water pump WITH METAL IMPELLER (stock ones got plastic i think) + new coolant.

I just hit the 80 k mark.

Well, if they dont change it for free, then it goes back to autobarn in mt prospect. I talked with a contact there and they said they would honor it. But, they told me that an Audi dealer (schaumburg) would provide a loaner and all the perks. If they dont, then autobarn gets my business. I have some billable work also and they'll get the job and all future business. My wife and I have three german cars and love their service.

Either way, the belts getting changed and Audi is footing the bill.

i had my timing belt and water pump both go out on me at the same time. renn art had a package deal i think for like 800-900 bucks installed iuno if they're still offering that though you might wanna give them a call to see if it is
