    Small purchasing dilemma!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    So,

I have a small dilemma, I get my PFD next week on Friday and I want to get my K04-15 except no one has them in stock.

So do I start to pick up the supporting modifications or just wait? The cost of the K04-15 is not bad so I can pick it up whenever but I figured hey inflow of money why not.

With that being said the supporting modifications I am looking to pick up are –

    AWE Exhaust
TIP (Manufacture unknown currently need to do more research)
    AWE FMIC

Aprikol Snub - RS4 Engine Mounts - Vogtland Coilovers - RS4 Rear Sway Bar

    Re: Small purchasing dilemma!

For a K04, you also need or may want the following additional items:
    DV
TIP, most ppl suggest Forge or Neuspeed Xtreme
    Injectors
Test Pipe or High Flow Cat
    Ported and Polished Exhaust Manifold
    Throttle Body Hose
    K04 Specific Software Flash
    Upgraded Clutch
    Colder Spark Plugs

    Re: Small purchasing dilemma!

Sorry I forgot to add in, I just finished a water pump, thermostat, and timing belt change. During this time I installed my forge 007 DV. Installed NGK BR6E (part number?) plugs, I have already talked to my shop about software upgrade. Contacting audizine member on injectors.

Now is the ported and polished exhaust manifold really needed?

My budget is sitting around 5K. I am only going to go up to the K04 because I already have a power house that I have been driving. Just want a little more power then I had stock and the K04 seems to be the best for my liking.

    Re: Small purchasing dilemma!

ported and polished manifold isnt necessary.....but it will help squeeze a little more power out of the k04. you can also get it ceramic coated to help keep under hood temps down.

    Re: Small purchasing dilemma!

if you have a powerhouse, just stick to stage 1+ and call it a day. no need for a k04 if you're going to use it as a daily...

    1+ chip
    386cc injectors
    turbo back exhaust
    fmic

that should be sufficient...and save you a couple bucks.

    Re: Small purchasing dilemma!

No worries on install prices I can do it all myself. So that will save me a couple.

Dropping the car off the jack stands today, once I put the front clip back on. Got my engine mounts and boost gauge I will be installing today.

Is there a lot of modification needed to fit the GTRS kit? It could be an option.

    Helpful additions
