Phatbox and Pioneer HU

Hey guys:

For the past few years I've been listening to my MP3's from my Zen Vision M via RCA input into the Pioneer DEH-7700MP HU. Well, my player took a shit on me because Creative didn't fix the bugs and now I'm looking to upgrade. I can get a new player (Creative X-Fi, Ipod, Touch, whatever) and use my system the way it is, or I could get a phatbox and hook it up and away I go.

My HU can take an IPBUS cable and attach a multi CD Changer, will the Phatbox work with this?

Also....Phatbox....good or bad? When I originally looked into this I didn't bother because of price but also because I figured finding tracks using the radio buttons would suck. Anyone have reviews?

seriously? Phatbox was a unit made by phatnoise that connected directly to the OEM radio and allowed you play mp3's through your cd input. You controlled the tracks and playlists and stuff through the buttons on the radio......

if I remember correctly, Kenwood had a variation of the Phatbox and can control it with its headunits. This was a few years ago though, not sure if the current Kenwood headunits can still control the Phatbox.
