so i'm at an odd point in my life need some help

gh... so i'm at an odd point in my life... with how much i'm getting paid and looking at townhouses something gotta give... so the question i will pop up to you guys is... how much do you think i can get for my car? if i can get over 10k i think i would sell it in a heart beat.... do you guys think i can get that much? what do you think carmax will give me... the car right now has about 86k or 89k on it... with the mods or without....i can part out if need be... i just need my debt gone... and i don't need 2 cars... and i can't get crap for my other car (ford explorer), so what do you guys think? unless i get a new job that puts me in the 50k a year range or close to that, this car will have to get the boot...

i know they say that mods don't do anything to the price of the vehicle, but with your list of mods on an 02 with 86-89k, shit i'd buy your car from you tomorrow for 10k if i didn't live so far away.

are the townhomes in your area in demand? i'm not familiar with woodbridge, but i know here in vegas townhomes tanked the hardest during this past housing crash. i would say that you're better off saving a little more and trying to get into a single family home since they are easier to sell in the case that you need to get rid of it...but that's just my opinion being here in vegas, the market in your area could be totally different

With your mod list I'd say you can get 10k easily. Try selling it on here first. I'm sure an enthusiast will pick up your car. Esp since you have upgraded your connecting rods. That takes a lot of work out for someone itching for that BAT set-up.

i just sold my 02 1.8T but i only have about 70k miles. I can say with 99% certainty you can get more than 10k, possibly more than 11k depending on the condition of the car.

as for the sale of the car, I recently sold my '96 A4 2.8Q w/185k on it, some disclosed control arm issues, and less than half the mods that you have for $5k on craigs list.... so yeah, i think you should have no problem getting $10 or $11k for that car

If u take it to the dealer (audi/carmax and etc...) they wont give u any extra $$$ for ur mods so here is a chance for u to make more $$$ selling them off of the car.
Unless u gonna sell it to someone who wants that mods of course.
P.S. Visit carmax and see what the will give u.

Jorge, the best thing you can do if you want to see the most money is to part your car out. Looking at your mod list, I'm pretty sure there are plently of people that would buy your mods.

i think you should start from parting it out, perhaps you'll make half of what you want for you car just from those parts. Here in SC its avarage price, but in OH when i was there $10 was CHEAP.

i agree with the other posts, if you're gonna trade it in, please part out AS MUCH as you can, put all the OEM stuff back, otherwise it's just your mod money going down the drain.

now if you sell it on audizine's classifieds, you can probably keep some on, though i don't think you will get back 50% of what you invested to be honest.

Part it out, you will be better off, especially if you have the stock parts still. That said I paid 6500 for a 2002 with 89,000 miles, has sport pkg and xenons. Needs a clutch though.

wow man, that's a lot of mods for under $50K/year...i can't even come close to spending that much on my car and i'm in the same situation. part out though man, you can definitely get quite a bit of money for all that you've got on the car. i'd cry seeing that many mods go down the drain to a stealership. they'd rip you off on price, and then turn around and add $5K onto the car's tag price...

Yea, I got really lucky!

Just put the suspension on yesterday, and put some BBS LM reps on it for now! blacked out grills and blacked the headlights out... .so far it looks good.

Yeah, i'm pretty much going to drive this thing until it explodes. It's not a bad 4-wheeler either considering mine's bone stock (minus my sweet k&n filter haha).
