Basically, my friends and I are planning something along the lines of a Gumball Rally.. and thats my motivation to actually build my car.
So I've been looking around for my options.
1) Buy an AEB engine, build that and in the mean time drive my car as the DD it will be for a while after the build is finished.
2) Buy an MkII Jetta, build that.. Enjoy slowness but pure secks in the form of driving pleasure after its all said and done.. Keep the A4 for DD use.
3) What I thought was totally out of the question.. a VR-T build. I'm not going to say how cheap or where it is, because that would totally give one of you the chance to snag it up haha.. But basically, its a 47,xxx mi 12v VR6. Came out of a wrecked Jetta. Basically, I'd buy it, put it on a stand, mild build, and then have 417 Motorsports fabricate all the mounts and etc for me.
Now the last option is still very hazy, as I haven't even gotten a hold of them yet to see if they'd even do it.
So that said, what would you do?
I want something that looks good, handles good, and is at least worthy of 12's.
