So guys i bought this car about a month and a half ago and i am looking for some mod suggestions and some critisism about what you think

it depends on what your looking to get out of it, a good daily driver, a good all around daily driver/weekend racer or an all out high horsepower wepon

Well i'm hoping for a good daily driver that won't really cause me many problems in the future.

Congrats on the purchase. I would do suspension first. You can get the sports stock suspension for cheap in the classifed section if you don't feel like dishing out $600+ for an aftermarket set up. After that, choose your own route. I would start with a boost gauge and clear corners is free.

note: and I would change the wheels to at least 16" sport swings [cheap and will change the look (and ride if changing to sprts suspension) on your car dramatically]

Nice set of 17's, basic coilovers to drop that 4x4 down some, Chip (you're in Canada, go see Unitronic), tint optional, search for "painted lowers" threads, and a quality, mild exhaust setup.

Looks clean though so far.

tint will be done on monday already have an appointment, i am aiming for rims and drop spring time after winter since they can be brutal and i need to get body work done so i will try to have them paint the lowers at the same time. What about S4 front bumper, is it worth it?

go with coil overs. that way when winter comes around you can just rais it up for clearance and in summer you can DUMP it. how low can you go

j/k about the downpipe but seriously... upgrade the turbo or chip it then upgrade the turbo when you want more power.

Thanks hopefully most of those will be done spring time, but how much is it to chip? and how much is a clear corner mod?

This is how i started, 1) Clear Corner, 2) Tint, 3) Lip Spoiler (from Ebay), 4) SpeedTunning Chip. Got lazy after that, but you could do painting lowers also. Clear corner, tint, and painting lowers will alone give your car the biggest bang for the buck. I already had sports suspension so didnt mess with that. Hope this helps...

Get some suspension, paint the lowers, some new wheels, maybe debadge, if you want it for a daily driver no sense in working the engine really.

there is no way I could tell someone to leave the motor stock...our cars are soo slow stock I couldn't stand it.... at least get a chip and a dv you wont regret it

It costs nothing, unless you buy tools or something. It just means to remove the amber reflector from your turn front turn signals. The Europe the cars come this way. It looks much cleaner.

i started with the same car, except mine is a 2000
i'd say lower it, paint lowers, nice wheels, clear corner mod, debadge it and loose the door handle covers is what i would do.

Me? First the B6 doesn't have a 2.0 that would be the B7 2.0T FSI. That's a 2.0L AWM built bottom end (Stoke and Bore brought to 2.0L)with an AEB head.

You mean a 1.8T from a B6? I don't believe so, no (someone correct me if I'm wrong). And if it is, it sure isn't as easy as it sounds if you plan on doing it yourself.

In terms of your car, this is what I did:
1. Clear corners and debadge (both free!)
2. Tints (20% all-around, even though that's illegal in my state )
3. Wheels & tires (I would recommend 17s, depending on how much you want to lower it)
4. Suspension
5. Painted lowers
6. Exhaust
7. Xenon lights (please don't get Angel-Eyes... you don't drive a BMW)
8. Interior (Kenwood in-dash nav. system, amplifier & subs, xenon interior lights, aluminum pedals)
9. S4 bumper cover, fog brackets and side skirts

After that it's all history. And I agree with the others... chrome on silver looks horrible, so take off those door handles.

haha...i already have a bmw with angel eyes one car is enough, the car came with stock xenons but its kind of purplish i am looking for new bulbs that will match my xenon fogs.
