    rear coolant flange help

This is for the 1" vertical hose. Is there any hints or tools for the squeeze clamps, im having a heck for a time taking those off. Also for the quick disconnect hose of the flange it self, is it like a "C", where you just slide it out sideways? I knew this job would be tough, but this thing is kicking my butt.

For the one time use clamps your can use a dremel if you have one. But the trick is to pry up on the end of the clamp(screwdriver) to release the it from the clip. Look how it is designed and you can figure it out. And yes the quick disconnect is retained with a "U" clip which I believe pulls out toward the fire wall. BTW there is a DIY write up for this.

Patience is your best tool. I had my Intake Manifold off when I did this so I was able to get my arms back there a lil easier.

Those quick clamps (the resuable ones on the two heater core lines) can be tricky to get off the first time. The o-ring inside is probably sealed. Keep pulling on them (gently) and they will eventually come off.

On installation put some silicon grease on those o-rings and they will slide back on effortlessly.

for the permanent band, i couldn't fit a dremel so...

i used a needle nose to break off the front lock tab, clamp then twist. then used screwdrivers ranging from pocket to large to pry imbetween the two layers of metal. eventually with a twist popped off the whole clamp.

the other ones...pull the metal c-clip them just wiggle as much as you can. if you can fit a screwdriver at the base of the connector and twist the tip of the screwdriver while pulling the hose that helps a lot. that is the way i get those off.

the the side clamp, we used long needle nose and got at it from the side. for the bottom, we used a flat head to pop off the little metal clip, then my brother just muscled the hose off.
