Stage 3 Install Pics, (56k Beware)

I love my s4 and i do most of the work myself (downpipes, ttimer, awe smics, etc) but when it came to my clutch and turbos I really wanted to them professionally installed.

The clutch and turbo job was done by my Audi/VW Mechanic and friend, Jon Hamilton. He does outstanding work and at very reasonable prices. He is located just outside of Columbus, OH (around 20 minutes) but he is always willing and ready to trouble shoot. He has tons of experience in both the Audi and vw scene and used to own a rally team.

Our cars are expensive enough so it nice to have a mechanic we can trust in our corner.

depends who you are, if your "The Jerbel" under 4 hrs. I think it took Jon close to 8hrs. I know for a fact he took his time during the install and was very methodical, and took his time to clean the engine bay and and throughly check everything over.

those k03 bastard turbos still are strong, no shaft play and spool fine.

My mech changes the turbos by removing the tranny and attacking it from the back. he says its cheaper to do thaT way. anyone else do that?

Well, you don't have to spend all the time removing/re-installing the front end and the tranny has to be removed anyway in order to change the clutch. seems to make sense to me.

Hey rajan, how much did that end up costing you in labour? Im the same way you are with doing most of my own work but this is something I want professionally done. looking to see what kind of bill im in for. Budgeting for around $1100.

Knock on wood, she drives like a dream. AWE Intercoolers, picked up off audizine. They have made all the difference in summer heat. I cant wait till temp drops and the care is force fed some cool cool air.

I've received a few questions regarding parts:

The inlets I purchased were from GenJDM. I was at first a little skeptical of buying them from anything other than an tuning shop but once i got them the quality was impeccable. Perfect fit, bead rolled at the ends and the powder coat black makes the car look look great. GenJDM also included the silicone couplers and clamps

Turbos were purchased from "Audspeed" (audizine handle). These turbos were a 2008 build date.

Vast Stage 3 Clutch came with all parts and is extremely grippy. "The Jerbel" provided me the hookup from Vast.

Lwfw was a used item with a new friction disc. Their is almost zero chatter after breaking in clutch.
